Storefy vs InfoBox: full package or cloud software?

Updated 13.5.202611 min readKasper VälimäkiKasper Välimäki

400+ businesses trust InfoBox

Storefy combines a Samsung display, Easy CMS, content production and a 36-month on-site warranty in one package from €98/screen/month. InfoBox offers two routes: software only for your own Android TV from €7/screen/month, or turnkey display leasing (Maxhub display + software + pre-installation) from €24/screen/month on a 36-month Grenke lease.

Storefy is the retail-focused digital signage brand of doop, an advertising agency in Turku founded in 2006. The model is a full package: a 55–85 inch Samsung display, Easy CMS software, preloaded content, the Adbot video generator, installation and a 36-month on-site warranty all come in one monthly price. Indoor Display starts at €98/month for a 55-inch display, with a 36-month minimum contract.

Storefy is the only digital signage provider on the market with the Avainlippu (Key Flag) mark. InfoBox offers two routes: 1) software only for your own Android TV from €7/screen/month, or 2) display leasing (Hisense or Maxhub professional display + software + pre-installation) from €24/screen/month on a 36-month Grenke lease. Total cost for five 55-inch displays over 36 months: Storefy's Standard package about €17,640, the equivalent InfoBox lease €6,300 and software only on your own TVs about €1,915.

InfoBox leasing is about 2.8 times cheaper than Storefy, and the software on your own TVs about 9 times cheaper.

At a glance
  1. Storefy's strength is a full package genuinely built for retail. Adbot produces ad videos automatically from product data, ESL (electronic shelf labels) handles dynamic pricing in line with the Omnibus Directive, the Reactive Entrance Display targets content by age and gender, and doop's own agency produces all the content if needed. It is the only digital signage provider on the market with the Avainlippu (Key Flag) mark. 36-month on-site warranty: if a display breaks, the repair comes to you.

  2. InfoBox's strength is price, flexibility and industry breadth. The same cloud software comes in two forms: on your own Android TV (Sony, Philips, TCL, Vestel, Maxhub, Hisense and other Android TV brands) with no extra device, or as display leasing (Maxhub professional display + software + wall mount + pre-installation + delivery from €24/screen/month, 36 months through Grenke). For older TVs, any Android device on the HDMI port will do, for example the €59 InfoBox Basic stick. The platform is designed for restaurants, construction sites, offices, car dealers, pharmacies and municipalities, not just retail. Power BI, Lounastaja, Sitedrive, SharePoint, Google Drive, Canva, Google Slides, Sinebrychoff ContentHub and YouTube are included for every screen.

  3. The price gap is large on both InfoBox routes. Total cost for five 55-inch displays over 36 months on Storefy's Indoor Display Standard is about €17,640 (5 × €98 × 36 months, including displays, stands, installation, Easy CMS and warranty). The equivalent InfoBox turnkey lease over the same period: 5 × (€26 lease + €9 software) × 36 months = €6,300 (including a Hisense or Maxhub professional display, software, pre-installation and delivery). On the same pricing model, InfoBox leasing is about 2.8 times cheaper. If you use your own TVs, InfoBox software alone costs about €1,915 (5 × €9 × 12 × 3 + at most €295 for InfoBox Basic sticks), and the gap grows to about 9 times. Storefy's package also includes content production by doop's agency and an on-site warranty, which are not part of the InfoBox package.

Side by side

Quick comparison

Storefy sells a full package (hardware + Easy CMS + content + installation + warranty) on a 36-month minimum contract. InfoBox offers two routes: a) cloud software only for the customer's own Android TV from €7/screen/month, and b) turnkey display leasing (Hisense or Maxhub professional display + software + pre-installation) from €24/screen/month on a 36-month Grenke lease. The differences show in the price structure, the display, the industry focus and the content service. Both have a Finnish-language interface and both offer customer service in Finnish.

Pricing

Price comparison: Storefy vs InfoBox

Storefy publishes monthly prices for its Indoor Display on its website, on a 36-month contract. The price includes the display itself (Samsung 4K UHD, 500 nits), a stand, delivery, Easy CMS software, preloaded content and a 36-month on-site warranty. Prices for its other products (A-Board, Window Display, Tabletop, Reactive Entrance Display, ESL, Adbot, Digital Signage Hero) are quote-based. InfoBox is priced in two forms: a) cloud software only, where the customer brings their own Android TV, and b) display leasing, which matches Storefy's full package (Maxhub professional display, software, wall mount, pre-installation and delivery on a 36-month Grenke lease). Both routes use the same InfoBox software.

Storefy prices checked 13 May 2026 on the storefy.fi/en/products/storefy-indoor-display page. The comparison takes into account that Storefy's price includes the display and InfoBox's does not. If you also need to buy new TVs, add the display purchase price to the InfoBox side (about €600–1,500 per 55" Samsung panel). All prices exclude VAT.

Features

Point by point

Getting started and service model

Storefy

Storefy's model is turnkey: you ask for a quote, doop designs the solution, the display arrives installed on site and Easy CMS is ready to use. The service includes content production if you want it. Getting started typically takes weeks, because the process involves a quote, a contract, manufacturing, delivery and installation. It suits a retail chain that wants to hand its whole digital signage process to one partner.

InfoBox

Getting started with InfoBox is self-service but guided: you sign up online, upload your content and connect a screen with the app. Your first screen is live in 15 minutes. Onboarding, remote or on site, is included in the software price, but most customers don't need lengthy training, because the Platform is deliberately built to be learned quickly. On-site installation is available for a small extra fee.

Displays and hardware model

Storefy

Storefy supplies a Samsung panel (55", 65", 75", 85" or 55" Dual). Pros: a professional display designed for continuous use, brightness sensors and energy efficiency. Cons: if you already have TVs in your store or office, you get no use out of them, and you pay for the hardware for 36 months as well. Easy CMS is designed for Storefy's own hardware, and the documentation does not mention bringing your own TV.

InfoBox

An Android TV (Sony, Philips, TCL, Vestel, Maxhub, Hisense and other Android TV brands) works directly with no extra device. For older TVs or LG and Samsung displays, any Android device plugged into the HDMI port will do: your own tablet, Fire TV, a generic Android stick or the €59 InfoBox Basic stick. The display itself is the customer's own. You save the most if you already have TVs in use.

Pricing model

Storefy

Storefy's price is a hardware rental: the monthly price includes the display, software, preloaded content and warranty. One number that is easy to budget. The downside: the 36-month minimum contract locks you in, and the total cost over 36 months is €3,528–8,964 per display before content production. Prices for the other products (A-Board, Window, Reactive Entrance, ESL, Adbot, Digital Signage Hero) are quote-based, with no public price shown.

InfoBox

InfoBox charges purely for software, per screen per month, billed annually. Every feature is included from the cheapest price: Power BI, Lounastaja, Sitedrive, SharePoint, Google Drive, Canva, Google Slides, Sinebrychoff ContentHub, YouTube, scheduling, screen status and websites by URL. The price list is public online, with no quote needed for standard use. Annual contract, no long lock-in, and you can change the number of screens at the end of the year.

Content production and Adbot

Storefy

Doop's agency (with 15+ years of retail history) produces videos and graphics in line with the customer's brand. The Adbot feature generates ad videos automatically from product data: product images, prices and campaign copy become finished videos with no separate video design. This is a genuine advantage if you have hundreds or thousands of products whose ad videos would otherwise be manual work. Content production is priced on quote, separately from the monthly software price.

InfoBox

InfoBox includes no named agency service and no automatic video generator. Customers create their own content with the Canva integration (included in the software) or buy it separately from an agency of their choice. This keeps the InfoBox price low, but you create the content yourself. If you want to outsource both the system and the content to one partner, Storefy covers more here.

Specialist products for retail

Storefy

Storefy has specialist products built for retail that a general digital signage platform does not have: the Reactive Entrance Display recognises age and gender and targets content, ESL (Electronic Shelf Labels) handles dynamic pricing and Omnibus Directive compliance on the shelf, and the Footfall Counter measures visitor numbers. If you are a retail chain that needs several of these, Storefy is the only Finnish supplier that offers them all in one place.

InfoBox

InfoBox focuses on one thing: a cloud-based digital signage platform that runs on any Android device and suits any industry. Electronic shelf labels, demographic targeting at the entrance and footfall counting are not part of the range. If one or more of these is a critical requirement for a retail chain, Storefy's package meets the need directly, while with InfoBox you would have to combine several suppliers.

Industry focus

Storefy

Storefy is built for retail: stores, shopping centres, chains. Its product family (Indoor Display, Window Display, A-Board, Tabletop, Reactive Entrance, ESL, Adbot) is optimised for retail needs. Its marketing talks constantly about campaigns, product advertising and shopping behaviour. It is excellent for retail, but it is not designed for restaurant menus, construction site safety notices or internal office communication.

InfoBox

InfoBox is a multi-industry platform. Restaurants use it for menu images and campaigns, construction sites for break room notices and safety communication, offices as a channel for meeting rooms and internal communication, car dealers for showroom offers, pharmacies and healthcare for waiting room information, municipalities for digital customer service communication and furniture stores for in-store marketing. One platform you can roll out in any industry.

Integrations and external systems

Storefy

Easy CMS has a REST API for automating materials, schedules and playlists, so with your own resources you can connect it to an ERP system or another data source. Named integrations with Power BI, Microsoft Teams, Lounastaja or Sitedrive are not described publicly. Adbot produces videos from product data internally, so feeding in product information is handled by an internal process. If you need other integrations, they are built as an API project.

InfoBox

InfoBox includes ready-made integrations with Power BI, Canva, Google Slides, SharePoint, Google Drive, Lounastaja (lunch menus in Finnish restaurants), Sitedrive (construction site schedules), Sinebrychoff ContentHub and YouTube. Any website can also be shown by its URL. Integrations are included in the price for every screen, and standard use needs no separate implementation project.

Support, warranty and contract model

Storefy

Storefy's 36-month on-site warranty is a genuine advantage: if a display breaks, the repair comes to you. Customer service in Finnish (Turku office, weekdays 9–17). The contract has a 36-month minimum for Indoor Display hardware. Ending the contract mid-term is not described publicly. Content service and technical support are included in the service.

InfoBox

InfoBox support is in Finnish by email and chat. The Help Center (help.infoboxi.com) is a public knowledge base you can point your staff to for self-service troubleshooting. Founder Kasper Välimäki handles the hardest cases himself at kasper@infoboxi.com. Annual contract, and you can change the number of screens at the end of the year. 30-day return policy on the InfoBox Basic stick if you find the solution doesn't fit your needs.

Honest assessment

Where Storefy is the better choice

Storefy has spent 20 years in retail, and it shows in its product range. In some situations Storefy is clearly a better choice than InfoBox.

  • Content production in the monthly price. doop's agency produces campaigns, videos and graphics on the customer's behalf as part of the Storefy contract. InfoBox also offers turnkey leasing that combines a Hisense or Maxhub display, software and pre-installation in one monthly price, but content production typically stays with the customer's marketing team or a separate agency. If you want to outsource everything to one partner, including creative design, Storefy meets that need directly.
  • Adbot: an automatic ad video generator. It produces videos from product data with no separate video design. A genuine advantage for a retail chain with hundreds or thousands of products whose ad videos would otherwise be manual work. InfoBox has nothing equivalent.
  • Electronic shelf labels (ESL) and dynamic pricing. Storefy's ESL handles Omnibus Directive-compliant price updates on the shelf, and combined with Storefy's signage screens you can also run campaigns centrally. InfoBox does not offer an ESL product, so if needed this has to come from another supplier.
  • Reactive Entrance Display with age and gender recognition. Storefy's entrance screen can target content by customers' demographic traits. A specialist use case that is rare for SMEs but significant for chains or concepts where targeted advertising is core. InfoBox has nothing equivalent.
  • 36-month on-site warranty for displays. If a display breaks, the repair comes to you with no separate arrangements. A practical advantage in shopping centres and store chains, where a dead screen loses sales every hour. InfoBox does not offer on-site maintenance as a core service. We can arrange it through partners when needed, but it is not part of the standard contract.
  • Avainlippu (Key Flag) certificate. According to the Association for Finnish Work, Storefy is the only digital signage provider on the market with the Avainlippu mark. If it matters to your brand to use a solution clearly made in Finland, or the certificate affects procurement decisions (for example in the public sector), Storefy has the edge here.
  • doop's 20 years of retail history. Doop has built digital solutions for retail since 2006. That long industry expertise shows in its product design and the breadth of its references (named: Sponda / Elo shopping centre, Telia retail). InfoBox's background is broader, as a digital signage platform for SMEs without a strong retail specialisation.
Choosing

Which one is right for you

Choose Storefy if

Storefy is a natural choice when you are a retailer and want one partner to handle your whole digital signage setup, including content production and specialist hardware.

  • You are a retail chain, shopping centre or store, and you want the same supplier to handle hardware, software, content and installation
  • You need an automatic ad video generator like Adbot, because you have hundreds or thousands of products
  • You need electronic shelf labels (ESL) for dynamic pricing in line with the Omnibus Directive
  • You are interested in demographic targeting at the entrance (Reactive Entrance Display)
  • You don't own TVs yet and are prepared to rent them on a 36-month contract
  • You want to outsource content production to doop's agency too, because your own marketing team is small
  • The Avainlippu (Key Flag) certificate affects your procurement decision (for example in the public sector)
  • An on-site warranty for displays is a requirement in your procurement process, and you don't want to deal with broken displays yourself
Recommended

Choose InfoBox if

InfoBox is a natural choice when you want a low-cost option, either as software only for your own TVs or as turnkey leasing with a Hisense or Maxhub display, or when you work in an industry other than retail.

  • You work in an industry other than retail: a restaurant, construction site, office, car dealer, pharmacy, healthcare, municipality, lunch restaurant or furniture store
  • You already own TVs and want to save by not paying for hardware again as rent for 36 months
  • You need 1–50 screens and value a lower price: the 36-month total cost for 5 screens is about €1,915 on your own TVs
  • You don't want to commit to a 36-month contract and would rather go one year at a time
  • You need integrations on your screens: YouTube, Power BI, Canva, Google Slides, Sinebrychoff ContentHub, Lounastaja, SharePoint, Google Drive or Sitedrive
  • You want to create your content yourself, with your marketing team or your own staff, and don't need an agency service
  • You value transparent pricing that is public online and needs no request for a quote
  • You need one platform that scales from a single restaurant's menu screen to notices across 50 construction sites from the same dashboard
  • You want a turnkey package, but at a transparent price and with a Hisense or Maxhub professional display: InfoBox now also offers display leasing (Hisense or Maxhub display, software and pre-installation from €24/screen/month, 36-month lease through Grenke)
Switching

How to switch from Storefy to InfoBox

The 36-month minimum on a Storefy contract limits how quickly you can end it, but you can try InfoBox on new screens before your next Storefy renewal. If you already have TVs outside Storefy or hardware due for replacement soon, you can roll out InfoBox on those side by side and move the rest of your screens later, once the contract ends.

  1. 1Check the end date and notice terms of your current Storefy contract. A typical contract has a 36-month minimum for Indoor Display hardware, so plan the switch around when the contract ends.
  2. 2Sign up for the 14-day free trial at infoboxi.com, no credit card needed. You get immediate access to the Platform dashboard and can upload content to try it out.
  3. 3Choose your InfoBox route. Route A, using your own TVs: Android TVs work directly, and for others any Android device on the HDMI port will do (your own tablet, Fire TV, a generic Android stick or the €59 InfoBox Basic stick). Route B, ordering turnkey leasing: a Hisense or Maxhub professional display, pre-installed, from €24/screen/month on a 36-month Grenke lease. It matches Storefy's current model in structure but is clearly cheaper. Storefy's Samsung panels stay on the Storefy contract until it ends.
  4. 4Export your most important content from Storefy's Easy CMS to your computer: images, videos and PDFs. Easy CMS is browser-based, so exporting works directly with no special tool.
  5. 5Upload the content to InfoBox and connect the ready-made integrations: Power BI, Canva, Google Slides, SharePoint, Google Drive, Lounastaja, Sitedrive, Sinebrychoff ContentHub and YouTube. This is usually faster in InfoBox than a new Easy CMS rollout, because the ready-made integrations are included in the price.
  6. 6Run both side by side: keep your Storefy contracts on your existing screens and roll out InfoBox on new ones. Compare ease of use and total cost for a few months before making a final decision.
  7. 7When your Storefy contracts end, move the rest of your screens to InfoBox. If Adbot or ESL are critical for you, plan their replacements in advance. If not, InfoBox's lower price and multi-industry flexibility may be enough for your whole organisation.

Frequently asked questions

Is Storefy cheaper than InfoBox?+

Not on either comparison. Storefy's Indoor Display 55" Standard costs €98/month × 36 months = €3,528 per display and includes the display, stand, installation, Easy CMS and warranty. InfoBox offers two options, both cheaper: a) Display leasing with a 55-inch Maxhub professional display costs €35/screen/month × 36 months = €1,260 per display and includes the same full package (Maxhub display, software, wall mount, pre-installation and delivery, 36 months through Grenke). That is about 2.8 times cheaper on the same pricing model. b) Software only on your own Android TV costs €9/month × 36 months = €324 per screen, plus at most a €59 Basic stick if the TV has no Android system. That is about 9 times cheaper. Example for 5 × 55" over 36 months: Storefy €17,640, InfoBox leasing €6,300, InfoBox software on your own TVs about €1,915.

Is the TV included in Storefy's price?+

Yes. Storefy's Indoor Display monthly price includes a Samsung panel (55", 65", 75", 85" or 55" Dual), a stand and delivery. The monthly price applies on a 36-month contract, so the total investment per display is €3,528–8,964. InfoBox's price covers the cloud software only, and the customer uses their own TVs or orders the €59 InfoBox Basic stick. That is why Storefy's monthly price looks higher on its own, but in a comparison remember that it includes the display itself.

Can I use my own TV with Storefy?+

Storefy's public product description does not mention bringing your own TV: Easy CMS is designed for Storefy's own hardware and comes as part of the hardware package. In practice Storefy's model is a hardware rental, where the display and software come in the same contract. If you want to use your own TVs, InfoBox is the more natural choice: Android TVs work directly, and for others any Android device on the HDMI port will do. For details on Storefy, ask them directly.

What is Adbot, and does InfoBox have anything similar?+

Adbot is Storefy's automatic ad video generator, which produces ad videos from product data with no separate video design. It is useful for retail chains with hundreds or thousands of products. InfoBox has no equivalent named video generator. InfoBox's Canva integration lets you design ad visuals in Canva and bring them straight to your screens, but it does not work automatically from product data. If automatic video production is a critical requirement, Storefy is the only Finnish supplier that offers it.

Does Storefy work in industries other than retail?+

Storefy's product family is designed for retail needs: Indoor Display, Window Display, A-Board, Tabletop, Reactive Entrance, ESL and Adbot. Easy CMS itself can show images and videos in any industry, but the product family and Storefy's expertise are built around retail. For restaurants, construction sites, offices, healthcare and municipalities, InfoBox is the more natural choice, because it is a multi-industry platform that runs on any Android device.

How long is a Storefy contract?+

Storefy's publicly described Indoor Display product requires a 36-month minimum contract. In practice this is a hardware rental structure, where the monthly price includes the display, software, installation, content and warranty. Ending the contract mid-term is not described publicly. InfoBox is an annual contract with no long commitment, and you can add or remove screens every year when the contract term ends.

Is Storefy's data stored in Finland?+

The location of Storefy's Easy CMS data is not stated publicly on its product pages. It is probably in Finland or the EU by default, but if data location is a critical requirement in your procurement process, confirm it with Storefy directly. InfoBox data is in Google Cloud's Finland region (europe-north1, Hamina). This is publicly stated and GDPR compliant, with no separate data processing agreement needed.

Can I switch from Storefy to InfoBox?+

You can start the InfoBox 14-day free trial at any point, even while your Storefy contract is active. Storefy's 36-month minimum contract limits how quickly you can end it, so in practice plan the switch around the contract end date. You can roll out InfoBox side by side on new screens, using your own TVs, before moving the rest of your hardware once the contract ends. Content (images, videos, PDFs) is easy to export from Easy CMS to your computer and upload to InfoBox.

Does InfoBox offer a turnkey package like Storefy?+

Yes. InfoBox now also offers display leasing, where a Hisense or Maxhub professional display (32–100 inches, 4K UHD, 500 nits, built for 24/7 use), InfoBox software, pre-installation and delivery come in one package from €24/screen/month. The lease runs for 36 months through Grenke, and the buyout price at the end of the contract is €50 per screen. Compared with Storefy's Indoor Display 55" Standard (€98/month × 36 months = €3,528 per display), the InfoBox 55" leasing package costs about €1,260 per screen in total over 36 months, counting the display lease share and the annual InfoBox software licence (Platform for 1–9 screens). Unlike Storefy, display leasing is multi-industry and not limited to retail. See the packages at /leasing.
